Next time your future employer asks you how much you were earning on the previous job,

ask them how much they are paying someone who is currently in the same position as you - or someone whose vacancy you are filling. They need your prev CTC number to ensure they are not overpaying you, and you need the same number to ensure you are not asking too low.

OS Update Frequency - Corporate IT Support

Hey Ya'll, I'm looking to get some insight from those that use MacBooks in their company from an IT perspective. The place I work for recently purchased some new Macs and were planning to get them enrolled on a management solution but wanted to ask some basic questions. 1. In regards to updating the Mac OS, how often do you update the software or how long after a major OS release do you wait to push the update out to your devices. For example, for our Windows laptops, we...

Only way to deal with Pune traffic is strong law enforcement and increase in online fine collections.

Today 7 in the morning Kharadi Bypass chowk was deadlock in traffic and our bus was stuck for 30 mins at one place. We do not have civic sense that's time and again proven, no doubt about it! Solution: We have CCTV infrastructure in place. RTO guys just have to sit in front of the TV and start issuing fines left and right to all the people breaking traffic signals, going on wrong side, driving without helmet etc. with the amount of people breaking the rules I am sure...

As a non-punjabi person, the Diljit issue, if you can even call it an issue, is not representative of a general country-wide view. It's standard issue hate by a fringe group to a successful person.

Before i start, this is not a nationalism post, its more of a harmonizing post because i saw some post on my suggested talking about the hate Diljit is getting. I don't know who has to know this but as a non Punjabi, even with the limited infra in India, I loved the concert. People of non-Sikh faith also dressed up like Diljit, complete with Dastar. That's not a sign of a hater. It's a sign of someone who wants to appreciate the culture. I went in Bangalore, but...

Sexless marriage for almost two years

It's been 1 year and 9 months since I got married. My husband and I never engaged in that act at all. He is super sweet, a good friend of mine, doesn't speak rudely to me, helps me in stuff and we are like good buddies and I love him. He is more like my boy best friend than my husband. Forget about sex, he doesn't even hug me or hold hands or do other couple things. I confronted him multiple times about it and his exact lines are...

    Market on Dec 18, 2024

Daily Journal: US markets had a weak session yesterday. All the 3 indices closed in red. Futures are flat. 10Y Bond Yield is at 4.3%. Brent Oil is at 73$. Dollar Index is at 106. Asian markets are mixed. Consider global cues as neutral for today. In the last few trading sessions. I have observed that the index is giving wild moves. It is not following any support or resistance levels. Trading in such markets is a nightmare for traders. But for long term investors we may get good...
