People living in Mulund/Thane. How often do y'all hangout in Bandra or SoBo? I recently moved back home (Mulund) after living abroad for a very long time. Ever since I've been trying to socialize a little bit and meet like-minded people either through work or dating. Weirdly enough, 99% of the people I meet live in Bandra, Andheri or Worli. This results in me having to make the commute there every time to hangout with them. I happily did it for a few months knowing that all the new restaurants etc that I wanna try are also in that area but now... 5 10 replies

One week of this job almost done I thought I was gonna have to do the same job as Monday, but thankfully it was only temporary that day. For Tuesday it was more easier on my body, but pain was still there. Wednesday was the easiest day since it seems like the place finally got another new hire to help us out. For the first time in a while I have a little goal on what I want to do. It’s the dumbest thing too, buy myself some plain shirts 3 4 replies
Forget the December Core Update, the December Spam Update is here Spam updates. Google linked to its standard spam updates documentation that reads: >“While Google’s automated systems to detect search spam are constantly operating, we occasionally make notable improvements to how they work. When we do, we refer to this as a spam update and share when they happen on our list of Google Search ranking updates. >For example, SpamBrain is our AI-based spam-prevention system. From time-to-time, we improve that system to make it better at spotting spam and to help ensure it catches new types of spam. >Sites that... 5 5 replies

Getting "funding" from users? Customer vs Investor conflict I'm pondering over a conflict I see in the startup world. Sorry if my text is too long to get to the point. When a product is initially launched, the founders/company start 2 priorities: 1. Deliver value to the users 2. Make money for yourself These are usually in somewhat of an equilibrium, because you need to achieve #1 to even get to #2. Then, if the company gets big VC investment and eventually IPOs, you get a new priority that seems to take the #1 spot - delivering... 5 2 replies

Why Can’t India Act as Swiftly as France Did in the Gisèle Pelicot Case? I recently read about the case of Gisèle Pelicot, where 51 men were convicted for a terrible crime, and I was shocked by how quickly the French government acted. The case lasted only three months, and by December 2024, the court had convicted all 51 men. The main man behind the crime, Dominique Pelicot, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, while the others got sentences from 3 to 15 years. This made me think about the Nirbhaya case in India. Nirbhaya’s attackers were convicted in 2013, but it... 2 6 replies
