Why no major FAANG operations in Chennai? I always wondered why Chennai has no major faang companies. Google, Meta, Microsoft all have extremely large operations in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Gurgaon. Google has even opened a small office in Pune. But none of these companies even consider Chennai? Why is that so? Is it because of language, weather, lack of talent or lack of any support from govt which they expect? Many of these engineers in these companies earn 1.2-1.3Cr with just 4-5yrs of experience.
