    Okay, I think I'm cooked.

I was reversing the car (9PM+Raining). I couldn't see the stone slabs placed horizontally, and slightly hit them and went by. But when I accelerated forward, I hit the slabs again and f*cked my Kia Caren's rear quarter panels. What should I do now? Some guy told me to pour boiling water into the gap and push the panel hard into the car. Should I try it?

What are your favorite local businesses in Goa?

I'm looking to make a list of local Goan businesses to support, as a fun side project. The more "esoteric" the better! Local artisan products, locally grown foods, clothing brands, vintage/Goan handicrafts, Goan publications, cosmetics, unique tourist experiences, unique food experiences? Could be anything! Thank you!

The Psychology of “Gulami”: A Tale of Language Bias in Hotel

A few days ago, I had two contrasting experiences at two hotels—Ramada and Marriott. The difference between them wasn’t just about the service, but something deeper: the role of language and how it shapes perceptions. At the Ramada, I needed a small favor—not something unreasonable, but something that required a bit of flexibility from the staff. I approached the receptionist and explained my request politely, speaking in Hindi. Their response was immediate and rigid: “Sorry, sir, yeh possible nahi hai.” There was no effort to listen, no attempt to...

Why no Mcdonalds, KFC or Dominos in sector 17

Sometimes I wonder why famous outlets that offer cheaper and tastier food are not there in Sector 17. Why there is no Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger king, Dominos or pizza hut

My friend's engineering college experience in Alwar, Rajasthan

Just a few days ago, I went to meet a friend of mine who was doing engineering from Alwar, Rajasthan. He told me how his decision changed his entire life. He had an argument with the local Marwari people over something. And these people went to his college and told all this. And formed a group and harassed him. And the teachers there also harassed him because he had an argument with the local people. Without knowing his side, the college staff harassed him. Whenever you join a college,...

How common is the practice of having a “veetu peru” which is wildly different from their actual name? And how did it become a thing?

I have friends from Chennai, whose homes I’ve visited to, over the years. And I’ve observed that in many cases, their families call them by a different name that is so different that you’d think they’re calling for someone else. Is this a Chennai/Tamil thing? I have friends from outside Chennai too and I’ve not observed this with them. Interestingly, many of the friends I observed this in, happen to be Brahmins, so I’m curious if there’s a caste aspect to this practice.

Do they still do open defecation I’m Mumbai ?

I grew up in Mumbai but left the city some 20 years ago. I understand Mumbai was granted an Open Defecation Free (ODF) certificate in 2017. Does Mumbai continue to have a problem with open defecation? No blaming people, as it is mostly BMC’s fault.

Quitting on life because I don’t understand anything

I have stopped working on my life for a really long time now and everyday I wake up feeling mentally stressed and defeated before doing anything. It seems like my thoughts constantly bring me down. I see so many people younger or older improving their life whether it’s fitness, financially, in relationship. And I keep telling myself it’s too late now. Your are simply too behind in life based on your age. And I’m just tired of living this way.

    Where to buy shoes ?

The only shoes I ever used were the black shoes for my uniform in school and college. Now I'm an IT employee working from home since 2 years . I've been called to office after pongal , so I have to go to office 3 days a week. I couldn't order shoes to my home as it would take more than a week to get delivered here, and it would be trouble if I have to return/replace those as I would have to come to Hyderabad for office. So...
