So happy that Gukesh won, it feels like a personal victory especially when...

Gukesh's victory feels like a personal gift, especially since just a few days ago, I had posted that [I would be heartbroken if he lost](https://www.reddit.com/r/chessindia/comments/1haw77c/i_will_be_heartbroken_if_gukesh_loses/). I am truly overjoyed by his win - it’s more than just a victory, it is a record- 18th Campion at the age of 18; it feels like a victory against the negativity often spread in r/chess by individuals from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, and even some Singaporean Chinese users. The amount of upvotes received on Gukesh's winning post is nothing to the upvotes...

The Illusion of Double-Digit Returns: A Reality Check

Sensex has multiplied over 25 years! That's a phenomenal 11.8% CAGR. But let's be realistic. After adjusting for inflation, it's closer to **5.66%**. Even if we assume this incredible performance continues for the next 25 years, we're still looking at a more modest 8.5% CAGR. The truth is, that consistently high returns are rare. Most countries, including India, have struggled to achieve double-digit returns over long periods. The key to successful investing is to avoid overpaying for stocks, no matter how enticing the story. Remember, patience is a virtue...

Found an US company hiring Marathi Writers

Recently took up a side gig at a US-based company as a freelance AI trainer. I myself got hired as a generalist trainer, but later came to know they are also hiring specialists for various Indian regional languages. Glad to see Indian languages getting some importance professionally - especially abroad. Thought I'd share the link to the job posting in case there are folks with a strong background in Marathi Language/Writing looking for work - so, [here you go](https://app.outlier.ai/expert/opportunities/4423486005?utm_source=referral&referring_user=bb76b40c80b98e148ed9b9bb235803ac510d8e234ffc3a62d2a663cf77b0e5c4447bde7313dfcf8bb4faeb78d899c467)! Roast r/JEE (www.reddit.com/r/JEE/) - ChatGPT

Ah, r/JEE, where aspirants go to solve the mysteries of IIT and somehow end up solving each other’s sanity instead. The subreddit is a **Thar desert of productivity** with an oasis of memes no one asked for, and **cactus-like guidance that stings more than it helps.** It’s the only place where someone will post, *“Didn’t study for two years, what are my chances?”*—and the top reply is always, *“Bro, I got AIR 1 with just NCERT, stay strong 💪.”* Truly motivational, right? The subreddit is so full of flexes,...

Have we failed as a society when it comes to marriage?

Saw this really sad article about a young woman who took her own life just a few months after getting married. Apparently, she and her husband were constantly fighting, and even after their families tried to step in and help, things didn’t get better. In the end, she felt like there was no way out. It makes me wonder, like, why does marriage sometimes turn into something so toxic? Isn’t it supposed to be about love and support? Instead, people seem to stay stuck in miserable situations because society...
