Carbon Copy Cloner insists APFS is best for backup drives - even spinning rust - but everywhere else seems to suggest HFS+, what to do?? Hi all, just invested in two new identical spinning rust drives to go alongside a couple of existing ones, for external storage and backup of that storage. I use Carbon Copy Cloner 7 for all such tasks and when I set these new drives up it's pretty insistent in recommending APFS, for the backup drive at least, claiming it's best for backups.
