I'm only 25 but people have started calling me "bhaiya" Man, I thought younger generations of Sikkimese folks learned to be better, but they, disappointingly, haven't. Even visibly older people have referred to me as "bhaiya" when I've sat at my father's shop sometimes. Lived my whole life here and I never thought I'd get called "bhaiya" one day😓. Just a harmless rant.
