Is YouTube intentionally pushing AI content on their end?

Watching Kurtis Conner’s recent video about AI videos taking over the platform…. I wonder is that push coming from YouTube itself in order to save paying money to real life creators? Spotify have been recently caught doing something similar so that fake songs made by contractors/AI play a bigger role in their playlists rather than paying actual artists.
