How is Drew Binsky such a popular travel vlogger?

Where do I begin? * Virtually 0 cultural awareness, and I'm not referring to his 'older' videos. Watching his "Entering the Slum that Japan Doesn't Want You to See" video where he interviews homeless people asking them "what's the worst part of living there?". * Tries to 'address stereotypes' but doesn't delve any deeper than asking stereotyped people what they think of their stereotypes. * I doubt he compensates any of the people he exploits in his videos. He is building a fortune off of the stories of other people, often times people in literal slums. I doubt he is making any charitable contributions. * He seems to film people without their consent often. * He claims people who don't want to film with him are 'unfriendly'.
