Vadodara good for an student exchange?

Alright so I‘m from Germany, I‘m in 10th grade and I‘m 15yrs old. My school is right now planning on doing an 2 weeks exchange to Vadodara together with a privat school in the city. So I wanted to ask if Vadodara is a valid place for an exchange because of physical health, attractions, safety, the people, food, sights etc. I‘m currently in talks with my parents cause my mum thinks it could be too dangerous for my health cause of the pollution, diseases etc. My dad would let me go there cause he thinks it‘s important for young people like me to explore the world.
