A Beautifully Unexpected Moment on Valentine’s Day

Yesterday, on Valentine’s Day of all days, I had a short but memorable encounter on my bus ride. I was sitting beside a girl who suddenly turned to me and called me “bhaiyya” (brother) while asking for help with her phone. Her YouTube app wasn’t working, and after a quick check, I noticed she had a pretty old phone—probably running Android 5 or 6. I’m pretty good at troubleshooting tech issues, but I was short on time. I suggested she try uninstalling and reinstalling the app from the Play Store, hoping it would fix the problem. She was in the middle of trying that out when another bus pulled up beside ours—the one she needed to catch. Before rushing off, she asked me to wait a moment so she could confirm it was the right bus. It was, and she quickly got off, heading to her destination. It was such a brief interaction, but it genuinely made my Valentine’s Day feel unique and beautiful. Of all days, hearing the word “bhaiyya” on Valentine’s Day could have felt ironic, but instead, it left me with a warm feeling. It’s funny how the simplest experiences can sometimes mean the most.
