Will bhoo-kanoon ever come?

I want to know the honest opinion of the people on this subreddit. As we can see that government is investing a lot in commercializing the state and promoting religious tourism, which infact is good for the state's economy but at the same time it comes at the cost of compromising with nature and culture of Uttarakhand. I recently travelled from Kotdwara to Pauri and I saw that a lot of trees were being cut down in order to expand the NH. maybe it is being done to divert the traffic on char dham highway, similarly Delhi-Dehradun highway is all set to open next month. Even after seeing all this, I'm still optimistic and wish that some form of restrictions are put in order to protect our land. but honestly speaking I think we've delayed this thing for too long. My straighforward opinion is that pahadis need to become rich if they want to stop their land from being sold.
