Mussoorie/Dehradun itinerary for 2 days

I am going to be in Rishikesh on 7th March. My return ticket is booked for 10th March from Dehradun. So I have 8th to 10th free. I am planning to go to Mussoorie from 8th March to 10th . Can anyone suggest a good itinerary for the same. How can I reach Mussoorie from Rishikesh? Should I stay in Dehradun itself or go to Mussoorie for stay and then come back on 10th and catch the flight. If I do stay in Mussoorie for 2 days, can anyone suggest all the places I can visit nearby and the mode of transport? I am planning on staying at Zostel or Hosteller. We're 4 of us girls. Thanks!! Also how is the weather usually like in first week of March in Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussoorie?
