Chopta trip questions

So I've been planning a trip to Chopta for Tungnath trek from Dehradun, and have some questions- 1. Can the trip be covered by scooty? I've read mixed comments on similar posts so far, with some saying that it's unsafe and uncomfortable for scooty and some saying scooty is much better than bus+taxi 2. How is March for visiting? 3. I was thinking of staying in Srinagar for first night and Chopta the next, is this feasible? Any places other than these for staying the night that you'd recomend? 4. Is it better to book online through mmt/Airbnb or directly at hotel/guesthouse/homestay, considering availability and price?
