A Government School with Just 1 Student

I recently came across a post on this sub about a school with **157 students but only 2 teachers.** But in my hometown, the situation is bizarrely opposite. There’s a government primary school with just **one student** for the past two years. The school still operates with one teacher and one mid-day meal cook (bhojan mata). What’s even more ironic? There’s another primary school just **1 km away**, yet the education department refuses to merge them. This isn’t just inefficiency; it’s a glaring misuse of public funds. The education system in Uttarakhand is failing, and no one seems to care. How long will this continue?
