Mandi Manzil-Worth the hype?

Just ate peri peri alfaham mandi from mandi manzil after all the raving reviews about it being one of the best in tvm. Eventhough ,I don't hate it, I dont love it either. Too much peppercorns in the rice .. it was such a big turnoff to bite into it everytime you chew. Chicken was dry af ,but the masala was good. Maybe, this is how authentic mandi rice tastes like, but i felt like it lacked flavour and the mayo was bit on the sweet side ,which I'm not a fan of personally. What do y'all think? Any difference in the quality and taste of their mandi these days? Do share your favourite spots to have a mandi in tvm.
