So I am trying to pass a funded challenge using DeepSeek/ChatGPT and TradingView. Follow the journey!

I have spent the past month building an automated trading strategy with Ai and TradingView backtesting features. Why? Because I realise that like most traders, I am too emotional to trade manually. I can trade, but I tend to over trade and destroy all the profit I may have earned for the day or for the week. I've always been interested in automated trading, but before Ai and prop firms came along, it was nearly impossible for me to try. But times have changed and we can now leverage the power of AI to create automated strategies to trade. So, here we are. I have applied the strategies on the 7 of February and so far I am up $1300 trading Gold Futures. I need to make $3000 to pass the challenge and then $3000 to get a payout. Furthermore I have the trailing drawdown to consider: $2000. So I am not out of the woods yet. I believe this post can be of interest to others so I will try to document the journey here. I will try to get this going until I get a payout or until I give up. **I few things I have learnt while doing this:** * DeepSeek is better than chatgpt when it comes to coding pine script * Ai is good but it is not failproof so you will have try and understand the code to fix erros that Ai cannot fix. * TradingView is a good start when it comes to backtesting and automation but it can be a pain when it comes to trailing stops and speed of data gathering. But it can get the job done. * The more strategies you can plug on an instrument, the better, but you have to make sure they don't correlate much to avoid big drawdowns. * Each instruments behave in its own way. If a strategies works on gold futures, I does not mean it will work on the nasdaq with the same parameters or even at all. That it is for now.
