How many strategies?

I’m still relatively new to trading and I’m currently undertaking the arduous task of backtesting strategies I have devised on various currency pairs. Doing this has got me thinking: - how many strategies should I am to have? Is it possible to have too many? - how many different currencies should I select to execute my strategy/strategies on? As it stands I am currently backtesting 4 different strategies on 4 different pairs and it is taking so much time, and it is such a mundane task as well. Any advice is appreciated :)
