Could someone explain this?

# As someone new to trading, how does one know if they are breaking even, getting +10% or doubling there profits? Im using bullx, so on the market cap side, if I buy at 10K mc and sell at 20K, would that not be 2X? Or if I brought at 10k and sell at 100K, would that not be 100X. Guys, I know this may be a dumb inexperienced question, but please explain this to me!
