Andhra culture gets away with so many things

While growing up, I often heard that Telangana culture was considered rough. The language was labeled as vulgar, along with other common stereotypes. However, Andhra culture rarely seems to be held accountable for similar behaviors. For example, during Sankranti, the cockfights, gambling, and record dances often showcase vulgarity to an extreme level. Or take their general craze for movies (this can apply to Telangana as well, but not to the same extent in Andhra). People literally worship their actors, viewing them as demigods based on caste, etc. Then there’s the violence, like bombs being thrown at each other in Seemandhra during the last elections. Don’t all these examples point to a lack of civility or vulgarity in their culture? So why is it that Telangana’s celebrations or habits are criticized so much more?
