i/Telangana
  • I have a genuine linguistic question.

Chaala press interviews lo kaani or official talks lo kaani, why do telangana politicians tend to use the neutral grandika Telugu baasha ( which is based on the krishna dialect of Telugu ) instead of telangana mandalika? Money ni dabbulu instead of Paisal, mitrulandariki instead of dostulandariki and many more "standard" Telugu phrases or sentences. ( I'm from rayalaseema myself and I'm very against this hegemony of Krishna-guntur dialect) If I remember correctly, one of the many pillars of multi-faceted telangana movement was to standardize the use of telangana dialect at an institutional level. TRS politicians ey ala maatladaka pothey ela ?
