Good Beach Resorts in TN

What are some good beach resorts that you would recommend in Tamil Nadu? I'm from Chennai but I'm ok to go on a long drive if the resorts are also way down south as this will help me to explore the coastal belt. Looking for some good quality and hygienic ones with private beach access preferably.
