Need info - What are some scams which are happening right now? I'm working in a different country and want to keep my parents informed and aware of potential scams so that they don't fall prey for the scammers

Recently, my dad got to know, his brother had lost Lakhs to some scam. But the problem is, he hasn't directly talked to my dad about this and my dad is also not going to pry and ask him what happened? But, at the end of the day we don't know what exactly happened. Similarly, my mom just informed me about a senior citizen living in next street, had lost 8 Lakhs to some scammers & in shock he became unconscious and had to be taken to hospital. We also have an acquaintance who had used help from some youngsters living nearby to setup UPI & we don't know how but they had been siphoning off money for over 2 years from him, to the tune of 10 Lakhs+. People always feel shameful for falling for some scam and hence don't talk to others about it. I too had fallen for one & lost 16000 rupees (almost my 1 month salary) about 12 years back and I still have screenshot of that transaction in email as a reminder, but nobody in my family knew about this. But, the problem is when we don't share the details, others in our own circle could fall for the same scam. Hence, I'm reaching out to this group, hoping to learn about any ongoing scams, which we must be aware of. I'm planning to have a call with my parents and make sure they are aware of these. Thanks.
