Has anyone successfully got their road tax refund after re-registration of their vehicle in the new state
Hi everyone, I recently moved from Chennai to Kochi and had to re-register my vehicle in Kerala due to the change in state. While the re-registration process itself was manageable, I am now exploring the possibility of getting a road tax refund from Tamil Nadu for the amount I paid when I first registered my vehicle there. From what I’ve gathered, the process involves submitting proof of re-registration in the new state, along with other documents like the original RC, NOC, and a refund application. However, I’ve heard mixed reports about how smooth or successful this process can be, and I’m unsure of how long it typically takes. If anyone here has gone through this and managed to get a road tax refund, I’d love to hear about your experience: How difficult or straightforward was the process? What documents were absolutely required? How long did it take for the refund to come through? I’m sure this would be helpful for anyone else facing the same situation too. Thanks in advance for sharing your insights!5
