Can Golu be celebrated any other time of the year than Navaratri?

Hey folks. Got a question. I’m a Tamil and Bengali Brahmin (Moms TamBrahm, Dads BongBrahm) In our Tamil culture we have the beautiful celebration of Golu during Navaratri. My parents have a deal that we celebrate all the Tamil festivities throughout the year but Durga Puja (during Navratri) needs to be in Bengali style! But I really want to celebrate Golu too. As during Durga Puja that gets impossible I wanted to know if Golu can be set up during other times of the year. We are Shiva Devotees. Our family Iyer informed us that we can perform Golu during Maha Shivaratri, Aadi/Aani month or even during Karthigai Deepam. I wanted to know if anyone has done something similar and if you have any tips or suggestions at the same time. Thank you in advance. 😃
