No margin benefit for commodity options ?

Selling options in commodities is so hard. Some brokers don't allow pledged cash collateral to sell commodity options or futures. And others don't provide any hedge margin benefit. Do you face similar issues? Is there any broker which reduces margin requirement if we do a credit / debit spread ?

    Buying car or averaging stocks?

This March, I’m set to receive a bonus, a promotion, and an annual salary hike—all adding up to a monthly pay of 2.5 lakhs. Now, the big question: Head or Heart—which one should I listen to? Head: Given the market dip, averaging out your stocks now could yield significant returns in a year or so. After all, neither the bear nor the bull lasts forever. Heart: Make your dream car a reality by using this amount as a down payment—time to stop driving your dad’s Alto! 🤣

Can a SEBI Registered investment advisor also be a authorised partner with a brokerage to provide execution services? If No, any workarounds for that?

I currently manage a reasonably small portfolio of friends and family part time, however ive been thinking to expand my services to other people as well, i don’t think it would be a smart idea to ask for login credentials for peoples brokerage accounts, so for a professional practice i would want to have a sub broker account wherein i can execute trades on my clients behalf. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Fraud

Including Jio and zomato in nifty will unnecessarily inflate the PE of nifty. Jio doesn't even have much of trading history per se. Why is it being included in Nifty 50?

Smallcase shows profit but stocks are in actual loss.

Hi, I have invested in 3 smallcases. (15 company stocks in total). They all show +20% profit in the smallcase app. However, when I look at the stocks in the stockbroker (zerodha), it's a clear loss of -2%. I don't hold any other stock outside of smallcase. Still, the overall amount is actually a loss. In zerodha, if I have invest X amount, my current value is down by 2% (-2%). How can smallcase show that my baskets are in profit? I couldn't find any article or posts on...

    Mirza International Ltd

Mirza International Ltd one of companies which I consider us a high risk high return investment. The investors issues and political and public issues over cow leather made there stock fall from 300-350 range. I still believe animal leather market will survive if money involved in a business it find his own ways to survive like beef exports or alcohol industry. When leather marker rise and Mirza group manage to hold us leading markers I expect they reach 150-200 range from 30-40 range .

Is Zerodha a truly neutral trading platform? (Open and read below)

Nikhil Kamath himself is a trader, also runs True Beacon One & Global (Category III Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs)/Hedge funds). Have seen him talk about his trading career a few times on his podcast. He's just the co-founder, but his own brother runs Zerodha. Hence, that could give him access to client order flow data, meaning he can see what stocks/options/futures retail traders are buying and selling before anyone else. Even if he doesn’t misuse it directly, just having this inside view gives him an unfair advantage. He might...
