When markets opened sentiments were negative because of acquisition date being pushed to a month later. FIIs opened a big short positions in futures to ride on this sentiment and create momentum. Stop losses of option writers would have been triggered. Creating further panic. Towards the end of the market some short covering was visible. With stock being at 52 week low.
