Dad is giving money to invest in the market

So recently my Dad offered me one lakh to Invest in the market. For background he’s a pretty successful investor with over 300% returns and he’s always been trying to offer me money to invest in the market. I have always denied it because I don’t think I’m that good at analysing companies as of yet. I have been invested in the market but small amounts with my own savings from my monthly allowance. My overall portfolio had about a 20% increase in about 2 months but I recently sold it all at profit before the budget. And I have also made losses by making bad trades but they were all small amounts so it wasn’t that big of an issue. But now if I am given 1 lakh to start investing, the risk is way bigger and I don’t know if it’s a good idea or not. My Dad says that this is a good time to invest as a lot of stocks are available at cheap rates and asked me to identify a couple of stocks to invest in. Now I’m not asking for stock suggestions but more for is it a smart idea for me to handle such a large amount of money given that I’m new to the game and I’m still learning.
