Are PSU stocks worth the investment ?

I am interested in good dividends plus growth. I am currently concentrating on IOCL, Coal India and Hindustan zinc. Any comments on how the future hold for these companies ? I understand that dividends from PSU are not going away as Government relies on them as an income . Pls comment
