Why is the return on axis Bank mutual fund so much lesser than competitors?

All, Wondering about this. Between comparable funds between axis and a competitor, axis find returns around 4-5% points lower over 3 and 5 year period. Does anyone know why? I have an account with axis and wondering if I should switch.
