Is SIP really profitable, it’s been an year and it’s all negative!

Is it normal for SIPs to show negative returns after a year? I’ve been investing consistently, but seeing my portfolio in the red is making me second-guess. Should I stay patient, or is it time to explore other options? Would like to hear your experiences!
