Man. As an AI Engineer,. The deepseek hype is wayyyy overhyped. Deepseek beat O1, while openai already started releasing O3 which beats real humans at AGI tests. "Deepseek is cheap." No its not. Deepseek's parent company is a quant company who already had floors full of gpus for crypto mining and algorithmic machine learning. They used their existing stash of gpu and thats why their costs are so low. "Its open source." So? While you think open source would lead to less reliance of the industry on closed ai, do you even have any idea what these closed companies are cooking up behind the scene? O3 has already been made, now being released. What else do you think they have already made behind closed doors, only waiting for the rest of the world to catch up so that openai's progress isnt seen as explosive and dangerous for humanity. I won't even bring up OpenAI's absolute and utter dominance in tool-calling(The most crucial capability for making real world ai agent applications). Even the tiniest cheapest openai model(4o-mini) performs far superior tool calling then the top opensource LLMs. Stop dumping your stocks, its embarrassing to watch.
