Being a Bear is a very interesting experience

Unlike Bulls,Bears don’t get a long time to make decent returns, Bulls get more opportunities in a growing market like India for obvious reasons. But when Bears do get opportunities to make money,man does our patience gets rewarded handsomely.The months or sometimes years that we have to wait for a strong correction,we end up making atleast 50-100% on every OTM puts within 10-15 mins with every big downward directional move. I’m personally a Bear not by choice but just because of circumstances. Buying OTM PUTS is way cheaper than buying OTM Calls. I’ll happily switch to being a Bull once I can see our economy doing well along with supported GDP growth and macro factors,which currently I don’t see at all. What I see is a country growing well but not well enough to make me jump up and down to buy calls. This will only happen if there is a massive consumption boost OR if the gdp growth remains the same as the RBI governor mentioned in his speech today but the valuations become so cheap that it feels like I’m getting a steal buying a company for so cheap.
