Got a nasty concussion, went on medical leave, and finally published an app

I got slammed on my head in a jiu jitsu match in May 2024 that completely put me on my ass for 5 months. Things weren't too bad initially, but I made the mistake of trying to push through the injury and continued to work, workout, socialize, etc... By July I was pretty much a vegetable and unable to sit up for longer than 30 minutes without feeling sick, and had to go on medical leave at work. I also started to get really intense anxiety out of fear that I would never be back to my old self. Thankfully now doctors tell you to gradually expose yourself to things like screens and exercise to treat a concussion, rather than sit in a dark room and do nothing. One of the things that helped me get back to a place where I could work was finishing an app that I started on before I got hurt. I've always wanted to make an app or a game since I was in high school, but I'd always complete 50% of it and never have the discipline to stick with it and get it to an MVP. Finally did it after having this time off and it feels great. I feel like I thought of myself as a creative/entrepreneur type, but I literally had put 0 products out into the world. Now I feel like I've hopefully opened a door by proved to myself that I can stick with a project and see it to fruition. The app aims to help you improve your vocabulary by taking simple, fill in the blank quizzes. The idea is that seeing words in context over and over is what actually teaches you what a word means and how to use it, as opposed to looking at the definition. There's not much money to be made even if it gets some traction, but it's something I wanted to use so I'm happy I made it. Anyways, sorry for the long post. I'm sure there are some people in this sub who can sympathize with getting in the trap of getting halfway through projects and switching to the next. It took me longer than I would've liked, but glad I can say I've finally seen something through. Excited for the next one!
