From 'I Can’t Code' to Web App – How to Get Initial Users?
With no coding experience (other than some python for my data job), I’ve recently built a web app aimed at solving challenges for data teams, but I’m stuck on how to attract my first users. I’ve launched a pilot version, and while I’m excited about the potential, I’m struggling to get people to actually sign up and try it out. I’ve tried sharing the link on social media and a few forums, but I’m not seeing much traction. I’d love to hear your advice on how to effectively get those first users. Should I be focusing on specific communities or platforms? Any strategies that have worked for you in getting early adopters to try your app and provide feedback? Thanks in advance! Edit: For context what i have built is a web application designed to solve the common pain points faced by data teams. It provides a centralized hub where all analysis work—SQL queries, Python scripts, and other workflows—can be documented, organized, and easily accessed by the entire team. This ensures that no insights or processes are ever lost, enabling teams to build on each other's work effortlessly. I recently released a pilot version for it.3
