Government jobs.
Being a Government servant in today's Sikkim is actually the shittiest job, especially if you are at a higher bureaucratic position or the likes. Transfers, out-of-time promotion, job extensions (re-employments), this Government has made a full-on mockery of the administrative set-up of Sikkim. It has become a joke. All the officers have been crippled and it's a one man autocracy. Even the transfers of Group C and D employees, or ad-hoc employees are determined by the CM alone. Is there any mechanism for a Government servant to address political victimisation, unfair transfers and overdue promotions at the Central level? Because this can't continue. Do we not have any right to live freely? Just because so and so's uncle or brother supported some other party during elections, do you need to be deported to the remotest corners of Sikkim or sometimes even out-of-state? Do you have to trouble even married female employees who have practically done no politics except being distantly related to some political agent? No compassion for their little kids?2
