Ranking Loss After Updating Content on a Page

I completely refined a webpage yesterday and submitted it in Google Search Console. Today, I noticed that the page’s position for many major queries has shifted from #1 to #2, losing to our main competitor. Should I be worried about this now, or is it just a temporary fluctuation while Google tests the new content?
