Backlinks & Directories

New website and business owner of approximately 6 months. Trying to scale from 10th on the map pack to 1st. I’ve done some paid backlinking which is showing up as backlinks on Semrush. But all the directories i’ve signed up to including the indsutry directories aren’t showing in semrush as backlinks. Some of them are showing on google when i search my business name. This whole seo thing is so confusing just thinking about hiring someone… but would it even be worth it if i’ve already done heaps of work on it
