Should web page description given in Schema & the Meta Description Match? What's Best?

I have applied a dedicated schema to each category page of my entertainment website! Universal properties on the homepage and dedicative like webpage etc on categories pages. Now the keywords and descriptions that I have defined in the schema about the webpages match with the meta description or shall I define them differently from the meta description? What could be the best option to choose?
