Website Ranking Vansihed from Google after changing Homepage
I Submitted this same question Google webmaster support community as well and the answer was: I swear I saw a JS redirect. This could be the main reason why things didn't worked out for you cause you let Google crawl in circles. Page A --> 301 --> Page B --> JS redirect --> Page A Which upon checking from Screaming Frog (free) could not find any issue. So, again asking here for answer. (Am Not Looking for Paid Service) # Issue: Dates, Errors, Fixes Tried. Around 18th December I changed my * **Homepage (Previously showing latest blog posts)** * **To New Homepage: From** hkt(.)com(.)np/seo-expert-in-nepal/ to [hkt.com.np](http://hkt.com.np) * **Added: /blog** (to show latest blog posts) **I used Wp > Setting > Reading > Static page to set my homepage.** Result: Before adding "**/blog**" i think there was improvement. But then everything changed on 20th December.I lost all the rankings of 1. Blog Post 2. Pages 3. Author Pages 4. Images Dropped 5. Homepage (significant drop in ranking 2nd page to 16th Page) My blog post has no ranking at all (previously were on 1 to 3rd and so on)Steps I took: 1. Requested for Homepage and 1 of my blog post (Post not showing up) 2. Submitted Sitemap 3. Checked Robots.txt 4. Internal Linking (Edited link that were link to previously page to new) 5. Added new Internal Linking from Homepage 6. I had few backlink edited those to new page 7. Checked for redirects (all ok) 8. Check indexing issue on gsc (all pages and post are showing indexed) 9. No manual penalty 10. No GSC issue # Other Possible Reasons: December Core Update is rolling. I updated Elementor and Elementor Pro before and after update. * What do you think I should do? Use backup and go back to were i was? or wait? * do you think "/blog" changed the entire website structure dropping the ranking? * Do you think google is taking time ? or something serious4
