Thoughts on having people click google search query urls that direct them to a site
ok, not an expert here and I am sure I'm not the first to think of this crazy idea. Thinking about how to increase organic traffic, and how google rewards your site if people search a term, click your site, and stay on it for xx seconds (I think that's still a thing) What if one were to say shoot out a google search query string say in an ad, and that google search query string SEARCHES google and displays your site at the top of the SERP, then the user clicks it and goes to your site. So for example, if my site was called "cool stuff and things" and in my ad, instead of my site name, I provided a google query param witth "cool stuff and things" as search terms Would google see this as a search, find, click, organic, SEO bump. Or, google going to see that shifty trick I'm trying to pull and penalize me for it?2
