Increase in number of keywords after December'24 update

Hello Guys, I have a technology- and software-focused blog site. After Google's recent December update, I could see a promising number of keywords started ranking steadily day by day. I wanted to know the reason behind this. Though I'm pretty happy about it, I still have a dilemma about why this is happening. Is there anything I should have to work on with? Suggestions, please.
