HELP I am overwhelmed - NGO Knowledge platform moves
For 3 days I have been going down a rabbit hole and I don't know where to go, so hopefully I can ask the community here. We have a platform that helps people get access to free knowledge from hundreds and thousands of experts and companies worldwide. We now have over 3500 articles published as an ISSN publication in 8 languages and now we need to replace the wordpress and in doing so we also need to think about how we deal with the SEO stuff and as we are super tight on budget I cannot redo it so I am putting a lot of pressure on myself because over 2 million users every year get their free access to information through us and obviously SEO is part of that. We want to move now and we have a company that is sponsoring us to "redo" our platform and they asked me for the url structure etc. for the next.js frontend they want to use and they also want to use it in the next.js frontend. The idea is that in the future we want to add more options to make it more attractive for people to share more knowledge and help more people to learn and access that knowledge. And there are so many topics \- subdomain or subdirectory for languages \- categories or no categories for the articles, video, audio, downloads or other media we will have in future \- what kind of structure for the slugs etc. Now I have done some (AI and Google but also Reddit supported) research and brainstorming and maybe someone can help me here to make sense as I feel I am just doing everything wrong and there are so many AI generated articles about most things without real content and real answers. This is what I was coming up by now after all this reasearch and brainstorming: FIRST IDEA WAS- Primary intents: **/{lang}/{intent}/{content-slug}-{unique-id}** /en/read/future-of-ai-abc123 (articles) /en/watch/ai-interview-def456 (videos) /en/attend/tech-conference-ghi789 (events) /en/download/research-paper-jkl012 (documents) /en/listen/ai-podcast-mno345 (audio) OR THE OTHER ONE - By type of content /{lang}/{type}/{content-slug}-{unique-id} /en/articles/future-of-ai-abc123 /en/videos/ai-interview-def456 /en/events/tech-conference-ghi789 /en/documents/research-paper-jkl012 /en/audio/ai-podcast-mno345 I guess for Profiles it is easiest like that or?: /en/@reddit /en/@john-smith Does anyone have any experience or has this been a problem before? I do not want to make big mistakes that would ultimately disappoint our community and all the volunteers we work with and everything we have built over the last 7 years. So sorry to bother you here but after reading through so many reddits here I just decided to ask directly.2
