Does it make sense to buy an aged site for SEO?

Hey, everybody! I have a question. For example, I want to create a new website to sell grills. If I buy an already existing small site somehow related to grills without a lot of backlinks, traffic, etc.. But it will have an age of 2-4 years and it was constantly in the search engine. Then I will delete all or most of the pages that were there and make my new pages. Will there be any advantages in position compared to new or expired domains? Has anyone had a similar experience?
