Business located in South America but target customers in a North America and Europe? Local SEO?

Hi, I'm an online French teacher (native from France) but I live in South America and most of my clients are in North American and Europe so I was wondering if registering for Google local business and displaying a local phone number and address made much sense or could instead hurt my business. What should I do? Thanks a lot.
