$1MM+ agency owner looking to exit - where did you go?
Hi all, TLDR: * I run an agency based in Canada that generates \~$1.1MM in ARR across 20 accounts, with an additional \~$100k/year in ad-hoc consulting/project work. * Net margins are around 38% * Small team: operations lead (co-founder, 49% equity holder), 2 x project managers (50 hours/week total), 1 x senior SEO (25 hours/week), 1 x senior copywriter (40 hours/week), 1 x internal digital PR (35 hours/week) * Systems in place for key workflows * Low overhead * Sales channel is based on my sales activity, warm market, and referrals; I am willing to stay on for a handover perid of 1-2 years for the right number * Not interested in a firesale/quick offload; I want my clients and team to be taken care of We've worked our ass off to have a clean book of business, reliable recurring revenue, and internal systems for critical deliverables (such as links from digital PR activities). I've been getting conflicting advice on how/when to exit. I'm looking for insights from others that have exited at similar revenue levels.3
