Why we demonize cigarettes but promote alcohol

First i am not promoting you should smoke or drink just a thought yk. I never understood punjab’s people thinking that you think cigarettes is seen as A class drug and taboo but alcohol is seen as something to be proud of. I mean i never beat up a woman after smoking or get into car accident after smoking or start a fight with no reason after smoking or never i was found in sewage drain after smoking or lost my civic sense and became a creep after smoking or many other problems which affect person’s social life.
