Real estate of Pune how to understand about it

I want to understand real estate of Pune. For that I am thinking if I can join any existing firm as intern to understand the process and requirements etc on weekends . I already have successful career in sw industry but want to try out real estate. But before jumping into pond want to measure its depts. Anyone who transferred to real estate or is in the profession any idea what’s the right steps.
