Pune feels very lonely sometimes

It's been 6 months since I came here and only one of my friend back home called me to check on me. Everyone else, I call every week to talk to. Never have they enquired about my life although I know all about their issues and good stuffs. It's very hard. Nowadays I'm not giving any thought to it. When I came here, I met some amazing people and I talk with a lot of them yet I don't feel the closeness with them. I like to spend time with myself sometimes yet if I'm with friends, I'd be very active in conversations and it's good too. These days, all I do is try to make the other person talk and it's quite saddening for me that I've to initiate a lot. I don't feel like being their friend. Just one more person who's giving attention to them. I'm very fed up trying to initiate talks. Even when I do, they don't talk well. It's very lonely. Today I'm feeling that a lot. I just want a good friend here. And that's not happening any time soon. That's my rant. Maybe some will relate to me here.
