Is BRT good idea?

I have seen lot of BRT lane but right now it actually disrupt the traffic. For eg:- i have to take right but right signal is off and theb i stop now who has to go straight has to change the lane which actually hold the speed of a car who is on left lane. This jamming Now in BRT people go straight even when right turn is on thus who is turning right hold their speed. Thus jamming Why we do planning when people are not ready and traffic management is not efficient? Without BRT it was good before.
